ArtsFund Mission
ArtsFund strengthens arts in the region by raising and responsibly allocating funds to promote artistic and organizational excellence and by advocating for all the arts.
In The Spotlight
Seattle Children’s Theatre
Each year, SCT helps fill the lives of 250,000 children, parents and teachers with remarkable experiences. Thanks in part to support from ArtsFund, SCT provides 95,000 reduced-priced tickets and more than 7,000 full-ticket scholarships for children, and SCT Education Outreach reaches another 6,000+ students every year through dramashops and residencies.
“The SCT teaching artists have been fantastic and the program has been terrific for our kids in so many ways: the group pulls together, quiet students find their voice and presence and the talkers get their moment, but everyone is equal and everyone has fun. The children love drama and an opportunity to be on stage performing in front of their school mates and parents.” Teacher, Lowell Elementary
About ArtsFund
Through ArtsFund, a 501 (c)3 nonprofit, everybody can take part in art. ArtsFund donors support nearly 70 local arts groups, large and small, so they can provide stimulating and enlightening arts for our community.
ArtsFund also helps arts groups run themselves even better through systematic feedback on their operations, based on our finely crafted allocations process. ArtsFund also serves as an advocate for the arts through TakePartInArt.org, through programs like Building for the Arts and our Board Leadership Training program. The bottom line is that ArtsFund’s cash grants, capacity building, and other services make arts groups stronger so they can serve this region and make it a great place to live, work, raise a family and run a business.
