Awarded the 1990 Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theater, Seattle Rep produces plays that excite the imagination and nourish a lifelong passion for the theater. Each season the theater produces an eight- to nine-play series of the finest classic, contemporary, and world premiere dramatic work. Augmented by the new play festival Hot Type, public programs such as StageVoices and Insights, and a comprehensive series of matinees and interactive residencies designed for youth, Seattle Rep annually reaches an audience of nearly 150,000, including more than 5,000 Washington students.
