ArtsFund believes everyone should take part in art. To expand arts participation ArtsFund presents www.TakePartInArt.org as the primary point of connection between cultural activity and this region’s residents and visitors. Some 200 King and Pierce County nonprofit arts organizations enter their event information into the site. It’s a one-stop shop for arts events. In addition to event information, it lists special discount offers by arts groups.
Before long, the site will be even more robust. ArtsFund has completed a design for a site that includes on-line ticketing, gift certificates that can be used for any events listed on the site, professional and user reviews of arts events and extensive social networking around the arts. ArtsFund is now seeking contributions to make this design a reality.
TakePartInArt.org was initially developed by the all-volunteer Arts Coalition. ArtsFund assumed ownership of the site to provide it a permanent home and to develop the resources to develop the site further.
