Power2give.org/PugetSound Raises $180K for Regional Arts Projects!

IN ITS FIRST 90 DAYS, power2give.org/PugetSound RAISES $180K FOR REGIONAL ARTS PROJECTS

Seattle, WA – ArtsFund announced today that as of January  1, 2014, the three month anniversary of power2give.org/PugetSound, the site has generated $180,078 in new funds for the region’s arts and cultural sector.   power2give/PugetSound, is a regional arts crowd funding platform presented by ArtsFund.

Since the October 1, 2013 launch, a total of 47 projects have been posted, 27 of which have reached full funding.  Nearly 700 donors have made contributions through the site, which has received 7060 unique site visits and more than 11,600 visits in total.  In December, the platform expanded into Snohomish County, with the posting of a project by Schack Art Center.

Mari Horita, ArtsFund President & CEO, stated, “We are especially pleased to be meeting our goal of attracting new donors to the sector.  60% of visitors to the site are first time visitors, and, of the stats we’ve compiled to date, more than 40% of the donors have been first time contributors to the posting organizations.”  The most frequent contributions are $50 and $100.  Thanks to its matching fund sponsors and donors, ArtsFund has matched all individual contributions 1:1.

New for 2014, ArtsFund will release an additional $25,000 in matching funds, available as of January 6th. In complement to projects already on the site, new postings will be added on January 15th, and on the first of each month thereafter.  Furthermore, the scope will continue to expand, as ArtsFund welcomes new groups in Pierce and Snohomish Counties, as well as throughout King County.
