ArtsFund: Community Impact Award Finalist

On October 21, ArtsFund will be recognized as one of three finalists for Seattle’s Non-Profit Organization of the Year by Seattle Business Magazine at the 2nd Annual Community Impact Awards.  The awards honor Washington State businesses and organizations that are making a tangible, measurable impact on their communities — through job creation, workforce development programs, volunteer efforts, board service or innovative business models that promote social goals.

We like to think that our work at ArtsFund contributes to ALL of these efforts to make our community stronger.  Here are a few examples:

  • ArtsFund has been active in the community for nearly 50 years, with a total of $73 million in grants made to local arts and cultural organizations since 1969
  • ArtsFund supports an arts & cultural sector that created over 35,000 jobs and accounted for $2.4 billion in economic activity in the 4-county region in 2014
  • The ArtsFund Associates program provides a volunteer opportunity for over 100 professionals every year, while also providing valuable networking and skill building
  • ArtsFund’s convenings series has brought nearly 170 local leaders together to discuss issues of equity and inclusion in an effort to build more diverse and equitable arts organizations

ArtsFund would like to thank Seattle Business Magazine for recognizing our work in the community.  Read more about the Community Impact Awards here.
