Thank you Volunteers!

On Thursday, August 4th, ArtsFund held a happy hour in MG2‘s bright and airy Exhibit Space to celebrate our many dedicated volunteers–our Board of Trustees, Advisory Council, workplace giving coordinators, and particularly, the ArtsFund Associates.  Fundraising on ArtsFund’s behalf, the Associates raised roughly 20% of ArtsFund’s total in final Campaign 2016 donations, making a substantial impact on our total grantmaking to arts organizations in the Puget Sound region. Guests conversed over drinks, enjoyed live music by Seattle gypsy jazz band Pearl Django, and celebrated their collective success.

ArtsFund Development Coordinator Chantilly Chiles presented several awards for significant achievements in fundraising. The award for Winning Team was presented to “99 Problems But A Pitch Ain’t One!,” the Associates team that earned the most “points” throughout the year and set the pace for participation and fundraising across the board. The team, co-captained by Julie Wilbert of Museum of Flight and Sarah Gross of Mithun, will be treated to a dinner at Chihuly Garden and Glass with ArtsFund Board Chair Sandy McDade. The Charlotte R. Lin Award, presented  to the Associate who earned the most “points” in the campaign, went to Scott O’Connor of Sellen Construction. Scott was presented with round-trip plane tickets and a seven day cruise for two in recognition of his hard work.

Mahi Demissie of Sellen Construction was recognized for a strong year of leadership as Associates Board Chair in her eighth year in the program, and Judy Yu of Seattle University, also in her eighth year as an Associate, was announced as the incoming Board Chair.
