Tickets now on sale for June 27, 2014

Seattle, WA – ArtsFund and the Seattle Mariners are teaming up for Arts Night at Safeco Field on June 27, 2014. For the second year in a row, ArtsFund is partnering with the Mariners to celebrate community while increasing the visibility of the diverse arts and cultural groups in our region. ArtsFund President & CEO Mari Horita stated, “Arts Night is a great opportunity to bring the arts community together in celebration of all that makes this region special. The arts and sports make our community stronger – it’s a great night to cheer for both!”

The Seattle Mariners will host the Cleveland Indians in a game beginning at 7:10pm. ArtsFund will sponsor arts elements throughout the evening, including a pre-game performance outside the gates by the Centerpiece Jazz Band (Music Center of the Northwest). Lane Czaplinski, Artistic Director, On the Boards, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch at approximately 6:50pm, and the performance of the national anthem will be by international opera singer Robert McPherson, who began his career with Tacoma Opera, and who has performed with the Seattle Symphony. In complement to the pre-game arts offerings, Safeco Field is having its first fireworks show of the season immediately following the game.

As part of Arts Night, discounted tickets can be purchased at mariners.com/arts, or for groups of 20 or more, at (206) 346-4519. Groups purchasing 20 or more tickets will have their name featured on the JumboTron during the fourth inning. All who purchase tickets using the ArtsNight code will receive a Seattle Mariners ArtsNight T-shirt (sponsored by Safeco Insurance).
The 2014 Arts Night at the Mariners is in follow-up to the successful 2013 Arts Night debut, where more than 800 artists, arts lovers and arts supporters joined with ArtsFund in the event.
