ArtsFund values and respects your privacy.  The information you provide is for ArtsFund’s private use only. As a matter of policy, we do not sell or share any of your personal information to any other organization.

Introduction

We have created this statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. We do not collect personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us. Providing such information is strictly voluntary.  For example, you may provide information to us when you register for an event or make donations on our website; when you enter an online contest; or when you request to receive email communications about our activities and programs. The types of information we might collect include, but are not limited to: name, address, city, zip code, email address, phone number, birth date, credit card number & expiration, and your interests relating to ArtsFund.

This policy is your guide to how we will handle information we learn about you from your visit to our Web site.

Use of Links

Throughout our Web pages, we provide links to other servers which may contain information of interest to our readers. We take no responsibility for, and exercise no control over, the organizations, views, or accuracy of the information contained on other servers. Creating a text link from your Web site to our site does not require permission. If you have a link you’d like us to consider adding to our Web site, please send an email to info@artsfund.org with the subject “Link request.”

Use of Text and Images

If you would like to publish information that you find on our Web site, please send your request to info@artsfund.org. Where text or images are posted on our site with the permission of the original copyright holder, photo credits appear at the bottom of the page.  ArtsFund does not claim ownership of the photos submitted by arts and cultural groups, and  is not able to grant rights to their use.

Reading or Downloading

We collect and store only the following information about your visit to the ArtsFund website: the name of the domain from which you access the Internet (for example, gmail.com, if you are connecting from a gmail account, or uw.edu if you are connecting from University of Washington’s domain), the date and time you access our site, how much time you spent on the site, and the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked to our site. This information is not personally identifiable, and we do not track or record information about individuals and their visits. Rather, this information is aggregated and used in analyzing traffic to our site, or to a specific page on our site. Occasionally, we may share statistical data relating to our website’s visitors.

We use the information we collect to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, and to help us make our site more useful to visitors.

Online Profile Updates and Donations

If you complete the Profile update form and share your personally identifying information, this information will be used only to provide you with more targeted content. We may use your contact information to send further information about our organization or to contact you when necessary. You may always opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the “Opt Out” section below.

How We Use Information We Collect

We use the information we collect for a variety of purposes, including, but not limited to, the following: completing your online donations, registrations, or other transactions; providing you with information you request; notifying you of ArtsFund news, events, or programs we think you might find of interest.  We will not trade or sell your phone number, email address, or mailing address to any other business or organization.

ArtsFund’s primary use of the data is to provide gift acknowledgements, donor benefits, donor statements, and tax related statements to donors, where applicable. It is also used for internal reporting purposes, and to generate donor lists for our annual report, website, and other placements..

Opt-Out or Change Your Contact Information

You may ask to receive only specific communications or none at all. You may also update your contact information previously provided to us by contacting ArtsFund with the updates. You can not remove yourself from our database, but you can prevent unwanted communication.

Sending us an Email

You also may decide to send us personally identifying information, for example, in an electronic mail message containing a question or comment, or by filling out a Web form that provides us this information. We use personally identifying information from email primarily to respond to your requests. We may forward your email to other employees who are better able to answer your questions. We may also use your email to contact you in the future about our programs that may be of interest.

We want to be very clear: We will not obtain personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide such information to us. Providing such information is strictly voluntary. Except as might be required by law, we do not share any information we receive with any outside parties.

If you sign up for our email list, we will do our best to only send you the kinds of information you have requested. We won’t share your name or email address with any outside parties.

Children’s Privacy

We believe that protecting the privacy of children is very important. Our websites are not designed to attract individuals under the age of 13. Use of our websites is restricted to those over the age of 13. In accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not collect or store any personal information, even in aggregate, about children under the age of 13. If we discover we have received any information from a child under the age of 13 in violation of this policy, we will delete that information immediately. If you believe that ArtsFund has any information from or about anyone under the age of 13, please contact us at the contact points specified below.

Collection of Information by Third Party Sites

Some of our website pages may contain links to other sites whose practices may be different than those of ArtsFund. We are not responsible for the information distributed or collected by these other websites.
