ArtsFund Welcomes New Board Members

Five new Trustees join ArtsFund, expanding impact and reach throughout Washington State

 

SEATTLE, November 27, 2023 – ArtsFund is pleased to announce new members to its Board of Directors, and new slate of Officers for the year ahead. ArtsFund supports the arts through leadership, advocacy, and grantmaking in order to build a healthy, equitable, and creative Washington. ArtsFund was originally founded to bring corporate and civic leaders together to help establish and sustain our region’s arts and cultural institutions. Over its grantmaking history, ArtsFund has granted more than $115MM to over 1,000 organizations in 37 out of 39 Washington state counties. Additionally, leadership and advocacy programs such as Board Leadership Training, the Cultural Partners Network, and Arts Impact Reports support the health and wellbeing of our communities. ArtsFund has a 35-member Board that supports the organization’s strategic mission.

“We are thrilled to welcome these renowned leaders into the ArtsFund Board,” said ArtsFund President and CEO Michael Greer. “Part of our strategic plan for the next five years is to instill an understanding of the value and impact of the arts on all sectors of our communities, and so it is fitting that we welcome leaders that represent both the public and private sectors, as well as a noteworthy artist.”

Erin Hobson, Executive Vice President at Sellen Construction, will continue as ArtsFund’s Board Chair, in her second year of the two-year term. Cindy Snyder has moved into the Chair-Elect position, while Karen Bergin assumes the Vice Chair role, Patrick Evans assumes the Secretary role, and Thom Kroon renews as Treasurer.
